The Elling Eide Center is located on a 72-acre historic preserve overlooking Little Sarasota Bay. One of the largest undeveloped bayside parcels in Sarasota County, the preserve contains native landscapes along with a living collection of exotic plants. Visitors will see birds and wildlife, and exotics including a large variety of fruit trees with stands of Kapok, Bombax, and an ornamental Amherstia from tropical Asia. The large and diverse range of plant life ensures that vistas change with the seasons and something is always in bloom.
